Storm Debris Staging Sites Now Available
Aiken County Government has opened three storm debris staging sites to assist with the recovery from the ice storm. These three additional locations are open to accept STORM DEBRIS from private property from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Roy Warner Park,4287 Festival Trail Road, Wagener Boyd Pond Park, 373 Boyd Pond Road, Aiken Harrison Caver Park, 4181 Augusta Road, Warrenville
The type of material accepted at these debris staging locations will be yard waste only. This will consist of woody debris (tree limbs, branches, brush) that resulted from the ice storm.
Any furniture, deck wood, or building materials that were damaged due to the ice storm require proper disposal at the Barden Landfill (see below) or the Wagener Landfill (1769 Wagener Trail Road, Wagener).
Citizens may move their debris to the right of way line (at the front of their property, closest to the public road) for collection at a future time. This collection process should start in the next few weeks and will take up to two months to complete.
HOUSEHOLD WASTE must be taken to a Drop Off Convenience Center.
