Boyd Pond, formerly ORA site, is heavily wooded, has four ballfields, a fishing pond, walking trails, picnic areas, restrooms, and an remote control vehicle track. This area is one of the most beautiful in the Central Savannah River Area, (CSRA). The staff is currently renovating a building to house the office, which will include visitor information.

Boyd Observatory is also located on the property and is a 16 ' id cement block building with a 12 ' fully rotating aluminum dome, housing a 17 " Newtonian telescope with support electronics.
