Birdcachers of Boyd Pond
 Self-guided program which combines bird-watching and geocaching.  Learn about the most common birds of the park while searching for for hidden geocaches.  Program booklets available at the park office or by calling 803-642-0314.  Free Program!

Boyd Pond, is a 210 acre county park that was the former Savannah River Site's employee recreation facility. It is heavily wooded, has four ballfields, two soccer fields, two miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails, 30 acre fishing pond, walking trails, six shelters, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, and a remote control vehicle track. Fish or bird watch on our 300 foot boardwalk. Open daily from dawn till dusk.

Boyd Observatory Programs:  The 1st and 3rd Saturday evening at dark, weather permitting.  Look up and see the world beyond our own.  Visit for reservations and information. Boyd Observatory offers great FREE programs. Weekend programs are designed to expose young visitors to the basic science of astronomy. Accomodates up to 12 visitors. Reservations are recommended.
