Birdcachers of Boyd Pond
This is a self-guided bird watching geocache program.  Search for information on the 12 most common birds found in the park.  Program open continuously.  Free Program


Boyd Pond, is a 210 acre county park that was the former Savannah River Site's employee recreation facility. It is heavily wooded, has four ballfields, two soccer fields, two miles of hiking trails, mountain bike trails, 30 acre fishing pond, walking trails, six shelters, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, and a remote control vehicle track. Fish or bird watch on our 300 foot boardwalk. Open daily from dawn till dusk.

Boyd Observatory Programs:  The observatory at Boyd Pond Park will be closed for repairs until further notice.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.  Every Saturday evening at dark, weather permitting.  Visit www.boydobservatory.org for reservations and information. Boyd Observatory offers great FREE programs. Weekend programs are designed to expose young visitors to the basic science of astronomy. Accomodates up to 12 visitors. Reservations are recommended.
