Dairies of Aiken County Exhibit
The "Dairies of Aiken County Exhibit" will continue through October at the Aiken County Historical Museum.
Remember those days when milk was delivered right to your door? Come visit the Museum and learn more about the people and the dairies that served this area. A highlight of the exhibit is the "new" Haskell's Dairy rhyme written by the Yurcan family of Aiken. Bryan, Amy & Olive participated in "Milk & Cookies" day here at the Museum in August and the Honorable Sandy & Dr. Joyce Haskell (Sandy serves as a County Councilman and is a descendant of the Haskell Family) selected their rhyme to be printed on the "bottle" that is in the exhibit.
LSRHC Public Hearing Announced
The Lower Savannah Regional Housing Consortium (LSRHC) is preparing to submit a Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2013-14. The CAPER is a financial and public benefit summary of the LSRHC’s use and expenditures of funds during Fiscal Year 2013-14 to carry out priorities identified in the LSRHC’s adopted Consolidated Plan. Citizens and interested parties are invited to review the CAPER’s summary of activities funded and their accomplishments toward the Consolidated Plan goals.
