Holiday Closing: April 3

County offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. Offices and facilities will resume their regular schedule on Monday, April 6.

All Convenience (Recycling Drop-Off) Centers and landfills will be closed Friday, April 3. Convenience Centers and landfills will resume their normal schedule on Saturday, April 4.

Please voice your concerns at any of the meetings during the update of the Year 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan regarding traffic, growth, public transit, bike and walking paths in this region.

2015 Edition of Official Map Atlas Now Available Online

The 2015 edition of the Official Road Atlas of Aiken County is now available for viewing and download.

Government Center Now Open

The Aiken County Government Center is now serving the public at 1930 University Parkway on the Aiken bypass.

The new facility is located across from the SC DOT Aiken headquarters and about a half-mile west of the SC 118 intersection with SC 19 North.

Offices now operating in Government Center:

First Floor:

  • Registration & Elections
  • Victim Services
  • Solicitor Worthless Check Unit
Second Floor:
  • Auditor
  • RMC
  • Treasurer
  • Assessor
  • Planning & Development
  • Delinquent Tax Collector
  • Veterans Services
  • Parks, Recreation, & Tourism
Third Floor:
  • County Council
  • County Administrator
  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • EMS and Landfill Collections
  • Procurement
  • Public Works
  • Engineering
To pay taxes, get a building permit, or visit RMC, visitors should park behind the building and use the main entrance to enter the second floor level. A drive-through is also available for tax payments behind the building.

If you're not sure where to go, please stop by the Service Center on the second floor, or call 642-1500 during regular office hours.
