Holiday Office Closing County offices will be closed Monday, May 28th for the Memorial Day Holiday. All Convenience Centers and Barden landfill will also be closed on Monday, May 28th. They will return to regular schedule on Tuesday, May 29th. Coroner's Office Plans Pauper Burial Six deceased Aiken County residents whose bodies have gone unclaimed or funds were not available, will be laid to rest on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery on Gregg Highway as part of a pauper burial. The cremated remains of Mr. Herbert Weikle who was born 10/25/1955 and died 09/19/2011, Mr. Gregory Mallory who was born 05/15/1960 and died 10/02/2011, Mr. Louis Fields. who was born 06/04/1928 and died 11/01/2011, and Mr. Eduardo Martinez who was born 11/08/1964 and died 12/23/2011, Mr. James Miller was born 06/02/1939 , died 04/01/2012, and Ruth Polk who was born 01/26/1926 and died 02/07/2012. Photo Contest Open For Entries Aiken County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism wants your best Aiken County photograph! Photographs will be judged and the winning entries will be used for a 2013 Aiken County Calendar. An art show and unveiling will be held in October to showcase the winners. Photos need to be taken in Aiken County within the past two years (2010 – 2012). Print Vehicle and Real Property Tax Receipts Vehicle and Real Property Tax Receipt inquiry and printing is now available on our website. Real Property receipts are available from 1991 to present, and vehicle receipts are available from 1994 to present. Receipts are searchable by owner-name, receipt number, or property number.
