Holiday Office Closing

County offices will be closed Monday, May 27th for the Memorial Day Holiday. All Convenience Centers and Barden landfill will also be closed on Monday, May 27th. They will return to regular schedule on Tuesday, May 28th.

Rec Center Swimming Pool To Open June 8

The Graniteville Recreation Center swimming pool will open beginning on June 8. It will be open Monday through Saturday, weather permitting, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. through August 17. The pool will be available for rental during this period as well. For any additional information regarding the pool or the Graniteville Recreation Center, please call Tandra Cooks at 663-6142.

Coroner’s Office Plans Pauper Burial Ceremony

Nine deceased Aiken County residents whose bodies have gone unclaimed or funds were not available will be laid to rest on Friday, May 31 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Cemetery on Gregg Highway as part of a pauper burial.

Friends and family of the deceased who could be found were notified, but some had no one to claim them.

The cremated remains of Mr. William Collins who was born 5/61947 and died 4/15/2012, Mr. Robert Everson who was born 10/31/1949 and died 6/26/2012, Mr. David Miller, who was born 4/22/1934 and died 7/19/2012, Mr. Michael R. Carter who was born 3/14/1964 and died 11/24/2012, Ms. Lessie Brown who was born 7/1/1950 and died 12/15/2012, Mr. James Clark who was born 9/6/1934 and died 3/18/2013, Mr. John Gustafson who was born 8/13/1957 and died 7/23/1999 and Mr. Chad Dorn who was born 7/28/1979 and died on 5/2/2013.

2013 Edition Of The Aiken County Official Map Atlas

The new 2013 edition of the Aiken County Official Road Map Atlas is available for free download in a PDF format. This edition is current as of January 2013 and contains updates of all features, including many new roads and subdivisions. This atlas will be updated twice a year and made available for free download. At this time a limited number of the printed atlases are available for purchase at $25 each.

Print Vehicle and Real Property Tax Receipts

Vehicle and Real Property Tax Receipt inquiry and printing is now available on our website. Real Property receipts are available from 1991 to present, and vehicle receipts are available from 1994 to present. Receipts are searchable by owner-name, receipt number, or property number.

To receive future property notifications via email, please sign up for the Property Owner Email Notification. Aiken County will send property notifications to the email address you provide. These notifications may include that a tax bill has been mailed, payment has been received, or that payment has not been received.
