Capital Sales Tax Projects

The sales and use tax is a renewal of the existing 1-cent local option sales tax and provides funding for the
design, engineering, construction, and improvement of highways, roads, streets, drainage systems
and / or bridges, improve traffic flow into and through Aiken County, facilitate economic development,
promote public safety, promote desirable living conditions, provide improved recreational facilities,
promote public health and safety in the event of fire, emergency, panic and other dangers and meet
