"LITTER TRASHES EVERYONE"
and
Aiken County

Aiken County Litter Enforcement's goal is to encourage all Aiken County citizens not to litter. One method is by making them aware of Litter Enforcement Laws when the occasion arises.

Enforces litter, illegal dumping, littering from vehicles, and Community Service Program – Assign A Highway
Example: Illegal dumping of tires on a property, garbage/furniture dumped on the side of the road (in the road right of way), illegal dumping on private property, trash being thrown from or blown out of a vehicle, and community service. Community service is ordered by the court, assigning offenders to roadways, picking up litter and debris.

Every resident can help reduce litter by educating themselves and their families on litter prevention, by being involved in anti-litter programs such as Adopt-a-Highway, by reporting litter offenders to County Litter Enforcement Officers, or by calling Litter Busters toll-free at 877.7.LITTER (877.754.8837).
