| The Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum will be sponsoring an Aiken County Historic Gingerbread Contest from December 8th-11th at the Museum. Entries must be featured after an Aiken County historic home and/or site. Download a registration form here. |

| Categories include: Professional, Adult (ages 18 and up), Family, Teens (ages 13-17), Youth (ages 12 and under), and Student Groups (Scout troops, 4-H groups, church youth groups, school clubs). Fees vary according to category. All entries must be delivered to the Museum on December 8th during Museum hours. Judging (with the exception of the People’s Choice) will be done that evening with a Gingerbread Reception on Friday, December 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Award Categories include: Best of Show, Best Depiction of an Aiken County Historical House and/or Site, and People’s Choice. Ribbons will be awarded to all winners. |

There will also be a FREE Gingerbread Workshop on Sunday, October 30th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for tips and techniques with Maggie Sacks. Space is limited so please call the Museum for more information and to sign up.
