Aiken County Government

provides many essential and beneficial services to its citizens. The County is governed by the County Council, comprised of an elected-at-large Council Chairman and 8 members elected from single-member districts. Find out who your Aiken County Council member is, and how to contact that person. Aiken County's Code of Laws is accessible online here. Also available are the Code of Laws for the City of Aiken and the City of North Augusta. The South Carolina Code of Laws and other references are also available online. Aiken County Government's services are provided by different departments in many locations around this large County. You can contact the County staff by phone, email, or in person. Generally, County offices are open between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The County normally has several job openings available to qualified applicants, as do the City of Aiken and the City of North Augusta. The South Carolina OneStop Job Center offers many great resources to assist you in your search for new and better employment.

State government provides helpful information to new and existing businesses at their Business One-Stop website, their Business site at SCBOS.SC.GOV, and at the SC Department of Commerce website. Business licenses are required in some of the incorporated areas of the County, but are not required in the unincorporated areas.

    Department: Information Technology
    Closing Date: 08/08/2016
    Job Description:  Under occasional supervision, microfilms County documents for permanent preservation, and performs related technical and clerical work as required. Reports to the Records Manager. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Requires a high school diploma supplemented by two to three years of experience in records management and/or microfilming records, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
